Nothing new in the world.

Welcome to the newly renamed [livejournal.com profile] _angela_ and [livejournal.com profile] wisewoman journals. Once the first one posted under her new name, I understand the squeal of delight was heard all over Washington state, and southern BC as the second raced to rename her no post/groups-only journal.

Yep, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I intended to call my lj "wisewoman" right from the start, but the name was taken. When I checked again yesterday, it was free so I snapped it up. I'm considering consolidating (interesting phrase, that) because "wisewoman" is my paid account, and I can have 15 icons on it, as opposed to the three I have with an_old_one. Ah, such small things amuse me in my dotage...

Wonder what happened to the other "wisewoman?"

I'll keep posting as an_old_one for now...if I do switch back, I'll let everyone know so they can (hopefully!) make the changes.

This wouldn't have gotten so complicated if I'd just paid attention to all the advantages a paid account has over a free one--I can't join as many communities or sign up for as many daily feeds on a free account, along with the reduced iconage. Ah, me...must have my daily dose of chaotic media stimulus!

The powers-that-be have removed the limitations on how many syndicated feeds up for which one can sign.

Well, there you go then. Still, I think it's better to maintain my multiple personalities on lj than it would be to indulge them in rl.

And, btw, hi you! I donated money this weekend to help bring ginmar's kitty back to the US. The global village exists. This is it. I may not want to live there sometimes, but it's nice to visit.

(Best book I've read in months is Party of One: The Loner's Manifesto, by Anneli Rufus. At last, someone who understand me!)
