Point of View
My cat Sirius isn't that unusual. He likes to sit in the window and watch the birds, kids and the rest of the world go by. But like most cats he'd rather see than be seen.
I put this box of paper under the library window to help Sirius get up in the window sill. You may be able see the scratches he was beginning to put on the wall as he scrambled up. It took him a few days to figure out what the box was for. But, once he got the hang of it, he stopped scrambling up just anywhere. And then not long afterward, he started using it like this. He will still often get up and sit in the window sill. But on days when there's something going on that's a little scary for cats like today when the neighbor's yard is being mowed, he likes to sit on his box, put his paws on the sill and peek out through the blinds.
