Knee deep in soap suds

I was getting really unhappy with the Ringer episode last night, but the twisting and turning resolutions sort of rescued it. Last night was definitely too soapy for my tastes, but not enough to think about quiting on it.

Last Monday was the worst episode of Castle yet over three seasons: A serious mistake or two and some pathetic begging for sympathy for one of the characters. But a moment's reflection leads me to the conclusion it would have been pretty good episode of a lot of shows I've watched over the years. Just shows how good Castle has been over all.

I agree about Ringer teetering on the edge of soap--and it's a slippery slope, of course :D

And now I can't even remember if I saw this week's Castle! The online description doesn't sound familiar, so I guess not. Being on Central Time always confuses me, and I miss a lot of shows. Oh, well, I have it taped at home.

I think you would have remembered this week's Castle if you'd seen it. Very different episode from the usual.

One twin taking on another is a soap opera classic. So this show is a set-up for one soapy plot twist after another. If you're not into those kind of machinations, it's going to wear thin real soon.

Yeah, soap opera is where the evil-twin thing came from as far as I know.
