Thank you! I had a great time in Vegas - no big jackpot but was able to stretch my alloted $100 over 4 days. ;-)

My friends took me to the Top of the World at the Stratosphere for dinner. Very, very good. It was a big surprise. Then we went to Legends in Concert, which was a lot of fun. Elvis was the best and I popped in my Elvis CD as soon as I got home.

Saw Mystere, which was AWESOME. And I mean AWESOME! I don't know how they do what they do with their bodies.

The Star Trek Experience was a blast. I definitely recommend the new Borg Experience in 4D.

Went to Madame Tussad's Wax Museum and had my picture taken with BUFFY! ;-)

And, of course, went to M&M World.

Did lots and lots and lots and lots of walking. And that's even with using the monorail. Hung out at the Bellagio to watch the fountains a few times.

And, what do you think the chances are of running into someone in Vegas that you just met in Phoenix? I had my nails done here before I left Friday and another woman getting her nails done was also going to Vegas over the weekend (driving Sat and returning Mon). Never saw her before in my life. So, I'm walking through the shops at Caesars Palace and turn around, and there she was! Out of the thousands of people there, we ran into each other. Weird.

Thanks again for the birthday wishes. My birthday continues this weekend with a little party at my mom's for family and some close friends. Then an Oscar party Sunday and a happy hour after work Monday. Then, I think I'm done for this year. All in all, a very good birthday. :-)

Different subject - Finley

Hey, CW, did you hear about Finley's family? They were at a Little League game for one of his boys when his wife - 8 months pregnant - got hit in the face with a ball and shattered her nose. Lots and lots of blood. They had to induce labor so their daughter was born 3 1/2 weeks early. AND, on that same day, his dad had quadruple heart bypass surgery! Everyone's doing fine now, but what a stressful day, huh?

Yes, I think that's officially a bad day. Although as long as everyone is all right, it's going to make for an interesting birthday story for the little girl.
