Baseball in Sunny Arizona

[livejournal.com profile] soulfulspike80, her friend Jeannie, my sister and I went to the baseball game at the local Spring Training stadium, today. It was drizzling occasionallly, but it wasn't too bad. Not bad enough to delay the game. And it was better than sitting in the hot sun. Our team won, so Yeah!

Cheryl got to see that I, indeed, have cactus in the backyard of my house, although she got a good look at the weeds as well.

;o)

Sunny Arizona?

Lots of beautiful cactus (cacti?) - and I wouldn't have even noticed the weeds if you hadn't pointed them out. :-)

It was a fun afternoon (and, hey, we won!!!!). Thank you again for getting the tickets. And it was nice to meet your sister- she's very sweet.

By the time I got home the sun was trying to shine - go figure. We'll have to start thinking of something to do for our next get together.

I just saw in TV Guide that Crossfire Trail is on at 7 tonight on TNT. And then Cool Money at 10. So I get to watch my two favorite guys on tv tonight - Christian Kane and then James Marsters. Woohoo!!

And who would be your team?

Great envy for those living in spring training locales.

Our team is the Arizona Diamondbacks. The home team strangely enough is the Seattle Mariners (The San Diego Padres also use the same stadium for training).

It is a real pleasure living close to the stadium, and a greater pleasure to go to the game with friends.
