Oh, Lordy!

I just got one of those recorded fake calls supposedly from Microsoft telling me my 'license' has been canceled. I knew it was fake as soon as the caller ID lit up with 'Microsoft Support.' As if I ever gave Microsoft my phone number. Please don't fall for this garbage, yourself!

Also, Microsoft doesn't call or inform their customers in that manner. They don't email them either. What they do is send out press releases or software updates.

And you can't cancel a software license, that's not possible.

My latest? The Government allegedly is calling me to provide reimbursement for my energy on my home. Except I don't own my home, I rent. And the government knows that. Also, it would never call anyone to provide reimbursement -- it doesn't give money to people, you have to ask for it.
