Grocery shopping, week 7

Day 50 for me. Many people were out walking this morning, mostly keeping their healthy distance. Both the neighbor across the street (sitting in a lawn chair at the open garage door) and my next door neighbors (starting to walk their dog) were out.

The store looked like it did in week 2. Did the hoarders hit it again? Probably not, but a lot of very sparsely stocked shelves. Bright spots? Staples like milk, dry beans, rice, bread and eggs all looked okay. The cat food looked recently restocked (I needed some) and after all this time the aisle with cleaners and detergents looked more or less normal. No paper towels and very skimpy ramen stocks, today.

I'm beginning to wonder about the toilet paper - the single rolls are available now, but nothing else. What's the deal? Also canned goods are still gone. I think there are a couple of people building storm shelters.

There are packs of multiple rolls of TP here, but it is all store brand. I'd guess the single rolls only in your area are still to discourage another round of hoarding.

They are also all store brand - Food Town brand or Preferred, both store brand rolls.
