Inside for a few days

I've got COVID and can't go out. But the local wildlife decided to put on a show. This morning I saw a bobcat strolling through my backyard. It wasn't bigger than my cat so I guess it's a young one. There is scrub brush in many directions from here. So there is no telling where it wandered in from, the city park, the national park not so far away or just from uncleared land nearby. I've never seen one in the "wild" before. It's another reason to keep my cat inside.

That COVID thing? I definitely have symptoms, Monday was the first day and the worst. It felt like I had a high fever, with muscle aches and chills. But I didn't have a fever at all. Yes, the treatment is available in town. But I was too woozy to drive myself, and too considerate to ask someone to take me, and maybe have them come down with it. I feel better today, but not great. Thankfully the fridge and the pantry are full, and I don't feel like eating a lot.

Take care of yourself! Aspirin (or Motrin) for the body aches and plenty of liquids...

Good advice. I've been taking Aspirin and I got so dry last night I started drinking a lot of water. I probably would have started drinking more sooner, but I slept through most of yesterday.

When I had it - I took tynenol (sinus headaches) and drank tea, water, and lots of soups. I went nuts on homemade and canned chicken and vegetable soup. Also celery. (Asprin doesn't work for me at all.)

If it's the mild version - it should be over with in about three days, and energy back in eight.

I was right about it being a young bobcat. It came back with its mother this afternoon. They seemed to be enjoying the cool of my back patio. Mama bobcat is about half again bigger. They are interesting, but I hope they move on before they get into trouble with the local pets and someone decides to do something about them.

I hope they get away too. They are kind of dangerous - less so to people (they are more afraid of us than we are of them) but to small kids, and pets.

My brother's cats are about the same size as a Bobcat, possibly bigger. He has forest cats.
