Some of the February meme (cont.)

17. What are you wearing on your feet today?

Heavy socks. It's starting to get warm in the afternoons outside. But I have a better time sleeping if it's cool inside. So I don't encourage the air getting too warm inside.

18. Enzo Ferrari was born on this day in 1898. Have you ever driven or ridden in a Ferrari sports car?

No.

19. What is your favorite flavor of chocolate (for example, with mint, salted caramel, with nuts or something else?). Is there a chocolate flavor combination you dislike?

I'm not a big fan of fruit flavored chocolate, don't hate it, just would pass on it. Not being a coffee drinker, I loathe mocha flavor. I like mint with chocolate and almonds in chocolate.

20. Have you a good sense of direction, or do you rely on maps/online navigation? When was the last time you got lost?

On foot I have a pretty good sense of direction. But Munich, with lens-shaped blocks, threw me. I'd walk straight out from the rail station on a random street, take one turn to the right or left and suddenly be headed back to the station. I was never lost there, just confused why all street corners were never as close to right angles as they seemed.

I've always liked maps. If going by car I usually check Google street view when I'm going somewhere new to learn the nearby landmarks.

22. It’s International Sword Swallower Day! Have you ever seen someone swallow a sword?

Not in person.

23. What was your favorite toy when you were growing up?

Building blocks. It was before Lego. The blocks were hard plastic and would break if you stepped on them, but you could build all kinds of wild and wonderful buildings that you could pick up and move around.

I remember building blocks. We never really did legos when I was a kid. I trying to figure out when legos came out? Apparently they came out in 1955. But for some reason or other we weren't into them or never got them. I have no memory of them, but I do remember building blocks. My niece didn't get them either - my brother and his wife worked in marketing and branding, and refused to buy anything that was branded for their daughter. Instead he made things for her. My parents were kind of similar early on - we got a lot of wooden blocks and cheaper variety of building blocks.

I like coffee - but mocha flavor is too strong for me. I can't do the caffeine.
