Fruit of the Day
Remember this?
Well through the miracle of nature I now have some nice fruit on the plant
The fruit is sometimes made into candy. Although one has to be careful since cacti will pick up anything bad in the water and cheerfully pass it on.
Echinocactus texensis
This one is the same plant that's my default icon over at GJ. Thought some of you might want to see it blooming. Most cacti have yellow flowers similar to these; nice, but not exciting. Actually the plant comes from a genus (Parodia) that often has very special flowers.
