This clump of cacti is blooming again. I saw a hummingbird buzzing around the flowers yesterday. ( An old, but good picture )

When I came back from having lunch with a friend yesterday I looked at this cactus out front. It's never bloomed before as far as I know. I noticed there were drooping buds like on the branch to the top right and healthy looking buds like the one darkly seen on the opposite side of the same branch. I said to myself, "Yikes, it's a night bloomer!" I meant to go out last night but forgot all about it till early this morning. ( One photo )

A little larger than life sized. The plant is reddish from the spring sun despite living its life behind a screen.

It's been awhile. Many of my smaller cactus that aren't from this area have died off. This one is a local and one of my favorites.

Bright sunlight makes this one look lighter than it would otherwise, while my shadow is hiding the plant it grew from. ( One picture )
