This cactus is about the same size.

Wow, that's beautiful! I'll have to show it to my friend at work, Holly, who recently came in with a cactus she had bought that had two small, fake flowers glued to the top of the stalks...she was so disappointed when I told her they weren't real...you could see the glue, for gosh sakes!

;o)

That happened to me too. I could barely see the glue though./shameful and embarrassing reply

Nice flower CW! Mine haven't bloomed yet. But they haven't died either.

I have one like the tall fuzzy one you bought for your boy(?). Mine is about three years old and three-foot tall, and bloomed this year. The flower doesn't photograph very well, but it does have an interesting shape.

Yep. The old fake flower trick. The sad thing is that some of the grocery store cacti will produce flowers every year, just not the sort the paste-ons would lead you to believe.

This cactus is about the size of a woman's fist and so is the flower. There is a small pink flower on another plant coming today, which I may add later if I catch it in time.
