So, last night, I baked a batch of cookies from a recipe I found recently. Fortunately I didn't tell anyone here I was making them. They came out about as beautiful as batches of cookies can be. But they are suitable only for display. I'd pitch 'em out the back door for the critters if I still lived in Missouri. But, here it would just attract pigeons. You can't expect much of short bread, but even with chocolate bits these are bad. I'll probably eat a few and trash the rest. I expect the pie this evening will go much better.
