Blooms of the day

A 'rare' shot of what my neighbors get to see. Most of the garden is in the back, but I have a few things in the front. This is a portion of my little patch of Desert Marigolds. Given the least bit of extra water they bloom and spread. They're not as pretty as daffodils nor so eagerly expected. But they do add a little color. The agave in the background is not the one from my icon. But it is a reasonable facsimile. Same kind of agave just younger, smaller and not quite as open shaped yet.
