The real thunderstorm passed well west of me. It was overcast here, but I could see all the way to the mountains south of here. Then the mountains disappeared and it looked lighter instead of darker that way, a sure sign of a dust storm. It wasn't a bad one, but it got dark very quickly when it hit.
Does the dust get caught in the cacti? How do you get it out? I guess you can't flush it out with the hose...do you brush them off with something? Or does the sand just fall out over time?
Dusty cacti look fine. :oD (The dust is so fine, it blows off them in the next breeze.)
It's the dust that comes down the chimney, in through the garage vents, that covers the sidewalks and every piece of furniture inside with a brown film that make the bad dust storms a pain. This one wasn't a bad one, so it will probably mean just sweeping the sidewalk soon.
