Reply to this post, and I will write one thing I love/admire/find impressive about you. Maybe more than one. Then [no obligation: only if you feel like doing it] repost to your own journal and spread the love.

You write eloquently, maybe more eloquently in prose than you realize. I've met many people who can speak or write eloquently on any subject. But often their eloquence inflates the telling of their own life and doings to the level of braggadocio, when their real lives would be interesting enough. You don't simply write eloquently, you seem to live life passionately, fervently, simply, with your eyes and heart open to see and feel the things around you. It's a joy to have you as a friend.

You are as quietly brave as I wish I were. Without your bravery, as in going to your first meeting in Ohio, I may never have personally met anyone from our little group.

You speak your mind. I may not always agree with you, but you always have good reasons for what you believe. If we could say that about everyone, this world would be a much more pleasant place. I can remember when things were getting dicey over at ATPo, sometimes you'd speak up and call someone on their behavior. Even though there was a time or two you'd written later that you'd thought you'd said too much to someone, I never thought you'd said a word more than was appropriate nor expressioned anything that the other person didn't need to hear.

I can never tell when I should speak up, but since I can't refrain from speaking up I guess that's a moot point. :) I admire your equanimity very much; I wish I could be more balanced and a little less emotionally reactive.

I love your affection for otters and other little critters. I love the way your eyes gleam when you tease poor Rob. Heck, I even love the music of your heartland Provinces accent!

I admire what you've done over a lifetime - Been a hard working hippie (how many of those were there?!) - Lived in Greece - Spent all those years working in the ICU - Owned a horse (or two). Plus you're terrific organizer, and fun to be around. Most people should envy you!
