It's a very nice morning. I've had the windows open longer than I have since April. It's nice to get rid of some of the stale AC air that's been in the house all summer. It's been cool enough early before this, but this looks like the first morning I won't need AC before 9:00.

Naturally, since the weather is so nice, I'll probably spend the day inside doing some writing I should have been working on the last few days.

It's also natural that now that I've lost my taste for American college football, both of the schools I have degrees from are doing rather well. I still watch occasionally but not with the passion I once had. I was not happy at all with the blatant biased officiating in the Oklahoma-Oregon game yesterday. But, having no love for the U of Oklahoma I'm not upset that they lost. It's just a sign that the time is past when local or even regional groups of officials should be trusted to call games in their home area fairly without national supervision and the threat of meaningful penalties for misconduct.
