I went to a Spring Training game last night. Considering it's still the beginning of March it was nice outside, a little chilly as the evening wore on, but not too bad. Early Spring games like this are not much like regular season games, but you do get to see a lot of the minor league players who might make the team later in the regular season. It's odd but the better players really do stand out. You'd think there wouldn't be that much difference.

The new colors of our local team, the Arizona Diamondbacks, are not good. The main color looks like dull dark red in the sunlight, and dull dark orange under the lights. It looks like a color that belongs on a minor league team. I hope it doesn't last too many years.
The Hualapai tribe of Northern Arizona lives isolated on the Grand Canyon. So isolated that the major source of income for the tribe is over-charging tourists. Here's an article on the latest scheme http://www.azcentral.com/business/articles/0307biz-skywalk0307.html. (You will probably have to sign in to see this. But the process not too painful or intrusive.) Once the walkway is out over the edge, there will be a large restaurant/ gift shop built onto the anchor side. Getting to this spot over bad roads and by way of dealing with the tribes restrictions will be another challenge.
