Odds and odders.

So just now I'm about to download the forms I need to get a new passport, and I discover they are changing the blinkity forms later this week. So I might as well just wait. They are also coming out with a new passport-card for those crossing the northern or southern borders by car, but they aren't any good for flying. It would be cheaper, but I'm pretty sure I'm not driving to Vancouver.

After the interesting year-of-memories meme, I kind of want a totally different kind of meme How about a spot-the-lie meme? You tell a story that is basically true, but that contains one item that is utterly false. Everyone else tries to guess what the lie is.

My first day of school was interesting. One kid was amazingly immature compared to the rest of us. He went around the school yard flapping his arms while crying out, "I'm a bird! I'm a bird!" We all thought he was crazy. The tough little kid in the class was named Punkin. One of my first new friends in Kindergarten liked to be called Ovid, like the author of the Metamorphoses.
