This week I was amused to find "torpedo shrimp" in my 'healthy' market's freezer case. There may be some shrimp meat in there but it looked suspiciously like skinny fish sticks.
Then I came home to learn someone had created a style of music called "Celtic Metal" Which judging by the sample I was guided to on You-tube, sounds like a cross between traditional celtic and 'new age' celtic stuff, mixed with some idiot occasionally growling words no human could understand ala Heavy Metal. I'd ask why, but I was taught never to ask why when it comes to fine art. Instead I just chuckle and walk away.
It was a bit of a shock at the bank today. Hardly anyone there. When I finished and came out a woman who just arrived in the parking lot even asked me if they were open yet. I didn't know Good Friday was that big of a stay at home day. Or maybe everyone was boycotting LJ, I don't know.
I spent several minutes searching all over a kitchen store trying to find a kitchen knife sharpener, and couldn't find one. I was one my way out, when I noticed they were 'hidden' near the cash registers.
Oh, yeah. First full day of spring. Full moon tonight, too.
