We're having a bout of spring here; cool weather, lots of flowers and right now at my place a thunderstorm with hail. We haven't had any rain since the summer storms so the rain is welcome. (A loud thunderclap just set off someone's car alarm, nearby.) I don't care for hail much since it can damage the cactus, but the pieces don't seem to be that large this time. October was a bit brutal and hot, but November seems to be just about right, at least for the middle of Arizona.
I wanted to trim some of the bushes today, but the bush that needed trimming the most was full of bees this morning. I'll have to get out there early tomorrow before it warms up and the bees come out. Given the bee death problems the country has been having I don't begrudge them an extra day of nectar gathering.
