Eragon and the art of storytelling

A couple of days ago I watched the movie Eragon, because one of my nieces was curious what my reaction to it would be. I don't know what she expected from me, but I have to say I was heartily bored with it. It did have some nice scenery. But the story just didn't do anything for me; very nice dressing on a forgettable cheesy story. The Eragon books I understand are written for teens, so I presume if you are young and haven't seen/read much the same story over and over again, you might like it much better than I did.( Read more... )
