We had high winds last night about 10:15 to 10:45. I peeked out the front windows to check up on my recycling can. It was fine so went to bed in the middle of it. This morning the recycling was laying on its side with certainly most of my recycling still in it. Nothing to do but set it up and pick other people's recycling out of my yard as patiently as I hope those down wind will pick up what blew away of mine.
In the backyard there were a couple of small limbs from the olive trees in the park. I'll wait till it's drier to see if anything was damaged. If I got any limbs, the park and my neighbors' yards toward the line of those trees must look a lot worse.
One of the small airports about ten miles away reported 74 mph winds. Lying in bed during the storm listening to the sound I guessed at least 60 mph at my house. The power was off sometime last night. But with no analog clocks in the house I don't know for how long.
ETA: Not much damage, but olive twigs everywhere in back. A lot of folks did not get out and pick up this morning. The street looks pretty trashy.
