I don't know when it came out, but I bought a copy of the Harry Potter 7, part I DVD Friday.
I have to say two things about the movie
1) the sound track is not good. I noticed it in the theater and figured I'd pick up the mooshed dialog from the subtitles. In fact the subtitles have a considerable amount of information that you can't hear on the sound track that was supposed to be there at least according to the script. It's well worth watching with the subtitles on.
2) My concerns about how dark the Half-Blood Prince movie looked were justified. I really can't see HP 7:1 on my TV during the day. It was fine last night with the lights out. But in daylight with the lights out on Friday, it was very difficult to see anything.
Having plenty of time to soak it in, the only problems I note in the story are with Ron. Given the run time there was no way to give his development toward leaving and return any more time, but it does seem very rushed. Both downhill and in resolution.
The extras include a clip of Dudley saying goodbye to Harry. It's really ugly visually and mostly fails to make the point of the scene in the book. It was indeed a good idea to cut it. On the other hand there is a brief scene with Aunt Petunia that probably should have been left in.
