I was out shopping yesterday when I noticed to my annoyance that I didn't have my reading glasses with me. I muddled through, but remembered to look for them when I got home because I'd bought a book. Couldn't find them anywhere, checking all the likely drawers, table tops, and yes, the pockets of the clothes I was wearing and the ones from the day before. No luck. So I dug a less current pair out of the drawer and sat down to read. Well, honestly, I read in spurts. I get up move around, do little chores like cleaning up the cat box while I mull over what I've read. I'll get up several times to do something else, then go back to the book. At any rate I was a couple hundred pages into the book when I suddenly noticed my shirt pocket was heavy. I glanced down and saw the older glasses were in the pocket and on my nose were the newer pair. I have no idea where they were or when I picked them up, but somehow I found them by grabbing them and picking them up to read without even thinking.
I guess it's part of getting older: automatically finding things you thought you lost. ;o)
