The idea of setting something you no longer need out on the curb and having someone who might need it magically appear and remove it for you/themselves, may be boringly familiar to some folks from big cities. But since I grew up in a semirural area, it's pretty fantastic for me.

My suburban city has a bulk trash pickup tomorrow. So, this morning after I went to the store, I set out a senior citizen of a dinette table with questionable legs and a bulky outdoor Christmas decoration that I never use any more. I figured from past experience the city would never get their hands on the table. An hour later everything was gone and the street in front of my house is clean as a whistle. Well, whether the new owners took it all to keep or try to make a small profit, good luck to them and thanks!
