Let's see the lead stories on the local news tonight at 5:00: A hay fire. At 6:00 the continuing discussion over the fate of a neighboring town's golf course. Oh yeah, in other news the Vice-President flew into town for an overnight stay. Can you guess this is a Democratic town? Can you guess we're out in the sticks? If not, I saw a jack rabbit hopping along in my subdivision street the other day, not a cotton tail which we also have, but a jack rabbit. Great territory for an ornithologist, or a herpetologist. Just about as many different kinds of lizards running around in my yard as different birds in the sky.
