Quite different again today. There was a limited selection of soups and ramen today, none last week. I don't think there was any canned pasta last week. There was at least a little this week. There was store-brand TP on the shelves, and more being placed. Still no paper towels. The thing that remained the same from last week's sorry state was cleaning products. In fact, it looked like nothing had been touched, scattered boxes and plastic bottles and jugs on the shelves in chaotic state. There was no dish soap. I'm not desperate, but I would have bought some today. They had eggs, and I'm not sure whether my store ever ran out.

People's tastes are shifting from absolute staples. The shelves with luncheon meat were well picked over compared to last week. Tragically the store was out of mint Oreos so I'll have to suffer along with originals for awhile. I'm not so desperate I'd stoop to peanut butter Oreos. ;o) A number of shelves of common items were more picked over than last week, but there was mostly some of most things. Interestingly the selection of Mexican brand foods (we get a lot here) was one of the most barren areas today, where as last week it was reasonably well stocked.

ETA: Bananas were very cheap today. I can understand why. Who wants to buy something that's not going to keep for long and that after you peel it and before you eat the inside you probably should wash your hands thoroughly?
