Odd what people think is essential

One of the last things to be closed down in Arizona after at first being called essential, and the very first businesses allowed to reopen yesterday (on a self-limited scale) were barber shops and hair dressers. I've been reading a book on the end of World War Two, when the Russians captured Berlin they allowed breweries to remain in operation as essential.
