Week 34

We're having a big spike in cases, like many states. I suspect much of it is still the result of trying to hold school classes face-to-face, but I have to wonder if some of it isn't from all the last minute pro-Trump rallies with nary a mask to be seen.

The best thing about Tuesday night was discovering how relaxing it was to keep track with the updates in the background with the sound *off.* No sound from reporters trying to frantically update us with the same figures that were up an hour ago, telling us how important the change in the left-handed bartender vote from 2016 is, and so forth. Even if the returns weren't reassuring, the silence was precious.

We're having another of those weather weeks. Record highs today and highs on Monday expected to be well below our low today. I'm hoping at least we'll get some rain. There may be snow up in the nearby mountains, but probably not much this time.

I went to the bookstore again today. Didn't see a thing I wanted to invest my time in. Good thing I have my library.
