RIP Sydney Poitier, a great actor.
ETA: I was just thinking about all the fine acting in In the Heat of the Night by Poitier, Rod Steiger, Warren Oates, Lee Grant, William Schallert, et al. Then I happened to remember that classic played on the jukebox in the movie, "Foul Owl on the Prowl." If there was an Academy Award for worst song of the year, it would surely have won. You had to know the guy who broke into the jukebox to play it, was no good guy!
