Like many other places in the country we've had our share of weather recently. Monday afternoon we had a hail storm, very small hailstones, but quite a bit of it. The last time that happened near me was in Phoenix almost 20 years ago, when there were big hailstones that damaged roofs and left ugly permanent marks on my cacti in my garden. Last night we had a good rainstorm come through very late and by the time it was over it changed to snow. So for the second time since I've been in Tucson I saw patches of snow on the ground when I got up in the morning. Phoenix is lower in elevation, so generally warmer, and I never saw snow on the ground there in two decades.
