The kids in Tucson must be going nuts. We got maybe a couple inches of snow over night. The roads look clear but the lawns are covered completely. I doubt there is school this morning, thanks to icy bridges here and there. So if the kids can roll out of bed soon, they can have a snowball fight or make a modest snowman, which is a rare treat here. Adult skiers are no doubt hoping the road up the mountain will open in time to get in some slope time. There has been skiing on the mountain's upper reaches several times this winter, but I suspect this will be the best of the season.

ETA: Apparently the air is too warm for much ice on the bridges. Tucson schools are open. Out in the rest of Pima County the schools are opening late today.

Later: I went out for bunch. The mountains to the north and east of town are really beautiful, this morning!
