Since there are fewer than a phonebook full of them, I list my choices now instead of telling about them ex post facto.
Midwest
Louisville over Arizona - Arizona is certainly the luckiest team in this year's tournament. But Cinderella's pumpkin is about to be run over by an 18-wheeler before it can turn back into a coach.
Kansas over Michigan State - I do like KU in this one. But I may be too sentimental. I usually underrate Michigan State, and maybe I have again.
West
Purdue over U Conn - Hmm, I had a hunch that either BYU or Texas A&M would upset U Conn and obviously that didn't happen. So I'm not as confident with this pick any more. Any way I made it, and won't tell you I didn't. Purdue's defense is why I picked them to get this far.
Memphis over Missouri - Missouri is a dangerous team, but it's one of the many this year with three guards and two forwards. Against teams with token centers, Mizzou does great. But Memphis has an honest to goodness, fine, front line. I think Missouri will have a tough time getting offensive rebounds. I don't think they can hit enough first shots to take this one.
East
Xavier over Pitt - Pitt didn't look unbeatable vs Oklahoma St. and I had a hunch all along that Xavier could take them.
Duke over Villanova - Villanova is better than I thought they were, and Duke has been soft in the Tournament over the last few years. But I think the ACC is still the stronger league and the Blue Devils will win this one.
South
North Carolina over Gonzaga - Gonzaga is a fine team no doubt about it. But, I just think they've hit a plateau and won't go any higher.
Oklahoma over Syracuse - Syracuse has been a scrappy team for ages. They are dangerous, but I think this time the Sooners are the favorite for a reason.

Louisville - Arizona has the talent to win this game, but cannot possibly have 3 good games in a row.
Michigan State - I refuse to believe in either of these teams, but consider Tom Izzo a much better coach. Thus, MSU.
West
UConn - I don't believe in UConn. But I really don't believe in the Big Ten.
Memphis - Should be exciting if you like a fast-paced style of play. I'm going with the superior size, depth, and athleticism.
East
Pitt - Pitt looks shaky against pressing teams with tough point guards. Xavier plays a sluggish pace, and I don't think they have the beef to out-Pitt Pitt.
Villanova - two similar teams, except that one team has superior depth and athleticism, and plays in a tougher conference.
South
Carolina- I had Gonzaga in my Final Four, half as a lark, and half because I thought Ty Lawson wouldn't play much. Oops.
Syracuse - Blake Griffin is great. But he's not a one-man team kind of player. Watch out for Johnny Flyn.
