I spent part of Cold Turkey Sandwich Day watching the DVD of Harry Potter and the HBP. All the dark scenes in the film, which worked fine in the theater are more than a little annoying at home. On the small screen everything looks more dirty than ominous. Since while reading it, I imagined the Deathly Hallows as being in a physically darker setting than HBP, it's not encouraging. As a film it's no better or worse than the first time I saw it. This time, however, the lack of transition between the Weasley home in flames and Ron back at school horsing around with Lavender without a care in the world really jumped out and bothered me.
