Here's a shot of the largest yucca out front. This one is on an automatic dripper and is larger than the hand watered ones in back. But it's younger and this is the first time this one has bloomed. I'm showing the setting with the bloom stalk now on the way up since at a couple feet higher when the blooms open, the neighbors' yards may not look so tidy. ;o) My yard ends where the gravel changes color in the foreground. One sure sign it's been a wet spring - no aphids. Aphids in the past have covered these yucca bloom stalks. None on this one this spring and none on the one in the back on its way up.
Front Elata
Yucca elata.
