I learned over the weekend from an old friend that both Rupert Grint and Sarah Michelle Gellar will be making comedy pilots for CBS. RG will become a super hero of sorts. SMG is teaming with Robin Williams in one called "Crazy Ones," which doesn't exactly sound like a change of pace for RW. Far too early to worry about whether either pilot will be picked up as a series.

Enough meteor sighting have been made around the globe that I think it's very probable that they were, unlike earlier reported, all related. Chances are it was something bigger broken up and sent our way while passing Jupiter. Don't worry about it, as close as the biggest piece came to Earth, it got a big boost in speed and it's never coming back.

Well, the season finale of Downton Abbey was depressing, wasn't it? O'Brien finds her counter part just as mean and spiteful as herself. Edith is going down the very slippery slope yet again. Cousin Rose is delighted to be getting away from her broken family. Tom the ex-chauffeur gets a severe attack of the lonelies. Thomas under-butler gets the $&@!@ beat out of him, by toughs from the next town. And Matthew completes the show's trifecta of a dead unborn baby and two dead new parents. Not exactly a bad episode, but...

I can't imagine having a piper march through the dining room every evening. The only saving grace about piping at 8:00 in the morning is that I'd have long been up anyway. Wouldn't exactly encourage staying up late, would it?
