I've commented in the past how minor misreading of headlines (due to my mild dyslexia) makes for amusement sometimes. I noticed yesterday that the same thing applies to correctly reading too many headlines at once on the same web-page without forgetting what you just read.
Yesterday morning there was a headline about an ingredient in sushi that can spontaneously combust. No, I didn't read the article, but it did stick in my mind. Much further down the web page there was a headline about a big fire at a Serbian fair. Well, naturally putting two and two together, Serbian sushi was the cause of the fire!
Today I read, "Stargazers Celebrate Anniversary of Apollo 11 at Griffin Observatory" and on the same page "Telescope Viewing Suspended as Protesters Block Hawaiian Road." Oh, my goodness, the protest in Hawaii spoiled the celebration in L.A. ;o)
