Did our city officially celebrate Cinco de Mayo? Maybe. Or maybe our trash truck driver is ill? Our whole subdivision didn't get trash pickup yesterday. The drill is: leave your trash out if its not picked up. So early this morning it was picked up.
I was surprised by something else yesterday. A couple of quail darted out from near my garage when I opened the front door early in the afternoon. I saw quail all the time a year ago in the spring, but this year no sign of them. The house had been vacant for a while, so maybe the quail liked the quiet. Thought maybe I'd scared them off for good. It's very nice to see them again.
