Not being a connoisseur of pop music I never actually heard many of these songs, except on Youtube lists of annoying songs or one-hit wonders. Here we have both in the same space. I think I heard "I'm Too Sexy" on Friends. I think I heard of the 'Vanilla Ice controversy' long before I heard the song. I certainly did not know they were one hit wonders. "Who Let the Dogs Out" got played during football games for a couple years, and "I'm Walkin' on Sunshine" seemed to be in every other TV commercial for several years. Rebecca Black's nasal "Friday" reminds me of girls I avoided in high school just from the nasty sounding quality of their voices. To be honest she's still more pleasant to listen to than me singing, but that's not saying much.
