Odd things were missing today from the store, which might be related to recent problems at meat packing facilities. There were some kinds of sausage available but nothing close to what I wanted to have to make Jambalaya. It's not as good with hamburger, but I might make it anyway.

Yesterday afternoon, Arizona's Governor ordered several kinds of business closed again for 30 days, including bars, gyms and theaters. The owner of a gym in Phoenix wants to sue. I don't know the Arizona State Constitution, but most places it would be thrown out immediately as it's an elected official doing their job. One of my great nieces had just quit her temporary job at Amazon to go back to work at a Tucson theater. Such is life... Gatherings of more than 50 have been banned, but the Governor specifically exempted churches and civil rights demonstrations.

Well, I think many people knew they were reopening things too soon and sadly we were right. Not sure whether the new measures are enough, but hopefully most people will be more careful seeing how things have gone so far since the "re-opening." The worst looking event over the weekend was a big crowd at the launching point for inner-tube rafting on the Salt River just northeast of Phoenix. Lots of drinking, no one keeping any distance on the water or on shore.

The winds were light yesterday and the forest fire is mostly in the northeast part of the mountain, now. There has been an evacuation order for the homes in the southern foothills on the east side. They now think considering the vegetation on the mountain that it won't be completely out before we get monsoon rain and there isn't any rain in the forecast for the next week.
