A house on the next street, which I can see on my walk up to the mailbox every day, has its roof tiles off apparently so they can install solar panels on the roof. I can't imagine the home owner is very pleased since it's rained hard twice since last Thursday. I don't know whether it was bad planning on the part of the homeowner or the installer was over-booked. It almost never rains much in May or June, here. But come July it will be raining buckets.

I got a bad cut on my heal in my bedroom last Friday. Fortunately I'd been barefoot and I got off the rug and into the bathroom before it started to bleed heavily. There soon were several quite large red spots on the bathroom tile as I cleaned the wound with alcohol before I got a bandage out to cover it. The worst bleeding seemed to be over by the time I slapped the bandage on... I'm just glad I had large bandages on hand... On Sunday morning I was sitting in the kitchen (also tiled) when I glanced down and noticed an ominous large red spot on the floor. Where did it come from? The wound was still bandaged and at no point did I have a bloody sock. What happened? I got down on the floor and before cleaning it up, something gave me the idea to sniff the spot. Ketchup! It had dripped off my pork sandwich Saturday night!
