Some of LJ's recent changes have been interesting: More icons for all, the use of icons when you click on your interests (ala Greatest Journal), having a page now where you can keep track of your comments as well as those made to you. Now if they'd just change back so anonymous replying isn't the default, I'd be very happy.

It has not been my experience that anonymous replying has become the default. Do 'splain.

If you don't automatically log in you have a choice of posting anonymously or by clicking on the Live Journal user box, you can enter your user name and password (logging in if you want that, too). It used to be you had to click on the anonymous box, or else it would remind you to identify yourself. Now anonymous is the default so you can easily post anonymously by not realizing you're not logged in. Maybe you've noticed, the many 'that was me' replies to anonymous posts over the past few months. That's what that is about.

Ohhhhhhh. I hadn't realized that the incidences were widespread. I must admit that I never log out; if my cats start posting as me, well, at least there's new content on my LJ.

(Also, since my friends-list is tripartatedly filtered, I have to stay logged in all the time or I get my syndicated feeds mixed in with actual people.)
