It's been a bad week for old TV stars. Don Knotts, Darren McGavin, and today, Dennis Weaver have all passed away. They were two guys who became famous as odd acting deputies and side kicks and one fellow, who played a lot of outsider PI's and reporters, who few people remember as captain of the Enterprise. a riverboat that sailed years before Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek hit the air.
