Well, I should have known that who would die would be transparent once the episode started. If it wasn't for you, count yourself lucky! The lack of depth really is bothering me. It probably shouldn't. The show has never pretended to be anything, but a fancy version of a comic book. It's fair to say it's a great comic book. I've just never had any taste for comic books. On Angel when Faith turned herself in to the police it was powerful. When Nikki turned herself in to the police, all I could thing of was, Jessica is probably going to bust her out pretty quick. I found Sylar's sudden attack both predictable and annoying. What Claire's dad is doing has even stopped making sense to the other characters.

My patience is wearing out with the show in general. It's a kid's show for adults. That's fine as long as it's clever. But, show is starting to substitute cuteness for cleverness, obfuscation for mystery and fretting for drama. That may bring it great ratings, but I want something more.

One thing that would help the show is if the heroes were allowed to be a little more heroic. When Eden went in to see Sylar, instead of thinking that's brave, but not smart, I was thinking this sure looks like it's going to be a stupid way to let her die.
