I'm usually a big fan of Bones, but last night's new ep really annoyed me. Usually, the plotholes and and technical mistakes don't bother me on this show. But with everything else that I didn't like about the ep, they were very annoying.
I can't believe that Booth would be much upset at the end. He's killed people in the past with no reason other than having had orders from above. That would be disturbing. This time he did what he could to save the guy. He did his job. He did nothing to bother his conscience. On the other hand the guy had hideously murdered two people, nearly murdered two of Booth's friends, wanted to murder Brennan, and was cheerfully contemplating murdering more people. The fact that he died at the end, which he preferred, instead of going back to prison was something that might make Booth unhappy, but certainly not overly disturbed.
I may have missed an ep, but how did Brennan discover that Booth and Cam were involved, and when did she even learn about Angela and Jack? She really is not the kind of person who keeps track of what's going on around her. It just seemed like the writer of this ep was out of it. Cam was too sweet. Brennan had too much empathy. (Zack's new haircut also made him look ridiculous, but that's not the writers' fault!)
