This one is from a bowl inside the house.

These three are South American cacti called Parodia. The family mostly has very nice vivid flowers, but they can be crankly to grow. They don't live very long, and they can be very touchy about things North American cacti seem to shrug off. These grow in my brightest window. But the tallest one shows serious signs of not having enough light (the pointed top). The other two are doing better. Although the Scopa to the right is elongated as well, the tops are starting to turn into balls as they should. The Haselberg, shown blooming, blooms nicely, but not exactly every year. The others have yellow flowers.

Pretty! The one with all the little ones around it look like a teacher with her students on a field trip to me, lol.

I have a poinsettia from Christmas. Someone nearly drowned it before I got it. It is recovering nicely beside these cacti on the same once-a-week watering schedule.
