I'm glad Heroes is going on hiatus. Any more episodes like last night's any time soon and I'd just quit watching. One of Joss' great qualities is he always managed to get the story to move toward something. With the exception of last week's ep, Heroes is just aimless. Adding characters and killing them off isn't plot movement. Neither is introducing Claire to her family one member per episode. Neither is tension building for the sake of tension building. I suspect I'll finish watching the rest of the season when it comes back and then decide whether it's worth watching again next season.
I have to agree with
scrollgirl. No hero; no watcho. ;o) There is nothing in The Black Donnelly's that would appeal to me. "Sticking by your family" was done very nicely in the Godfather movie series. I don't think TBD is going to add a thing.
Jeff Goldbloom's new show would look more interesting, if NBC didn't already have Medium. Crime shows are getting as common as Westerns used to be. Crime shows with supernatural themes aren't exactly rare any more. Not a good thing.
The best show on broadcast TV on Monday is The Class and other than a clever twist at the end of every episode, it's a fairly unremarkable sit-com.

I don't like blowing whole nights watching any old TV any more, which I did all the time till I got to college. It would be much better watching one show at a time without commercials, like you're doing it.

Netflix is the answer! As long as you don't mind being a season or two behind all your friends.

I have a TV tuner/DVR card in my PC, which is a great way to go-- I have more hard drive space, don't have to rent a cable DVR, can easily edit out the commercials with a software editor, and watch the show when I want to. Plus, if I really like a show, I can make a DVD from the recorded file.
This rig has really become one of my favorite bits of recent technology.
