We're having a very pleasant cool spell here, but the cactus flowers that have been on the verge of blooming for several days seem to be waiting for warmer weather. So here is a picture of a common ornamental here in Phoenix.

This picture was something of an exercise in frustration. The full shot is a nice one of five, four-foot-tall flower stalks and the deep green clump of plants they've grown from. Unfortunately when reduced in size with anything like a generous cropping, my photo software won't get the flowers right. It keeps wanting to get the wall in the background sharp and crisp. So here is what looks like a close up, though the original shot has a very different quality.
