I think my neighborhood is under attack by newspaper deliverers

I just heard a third Sunday paper hit my driveway this morning. They must be trying to get new subscribers and aren't being very careful about where they are delivering free ones.

I met with fellow ATPo poster Cheryl and her friend for lunch yesterday as a post-Angel get-together. Phoenix is just too big. I drove about 70 miles round trip. Cheryl's friend lives at one corner of the area. I live pretty much at the far corner. Anyway it was a very nice lunch. Cheryl tells me that when she can think up a cool name for a journal, she'll be joining us here at LJ. I'm glad. She's a very interesting person.

I'm on the same sort of trip today, out to Maple Ridge for my older nephew's 16th birthday. It's going to be hotter than H-E-double hockey sticks out there, but he only turns 16 once (thank TPTB).

Tell Cheryl we're looking forward to her lj debut...the more, the merrier!

At least you can get home delivery. I have to drive 15 miles to get a New York Times. I didn't know there was anywhere where you couldn't get the Times. And I have to drive 75 miles one way to get to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and 60 miles to PF Changs. Sorry. Just feeling sorry for myself.

My sister and I went to P F Changs and tried the dumplings last week on your recommendation. Not too bad. I'd never heard of Trader Joe's till I moved out here, but we've got one about two miles away, another about three.

I'm glad you enjoyed them. Or at least found them not too bad. I think they cook everything on site instead of buying frozen prepared things so that the preparation can vary. I like the Cleveland PF Changs better than the two in Michigan and the one in Lansing is much better than the one outside of Detroit. Love Trader Joe's, though. The next (last) place I go has to have a Trader Joe's and good restaurants.
